Saanjh - The Bay Area Sikh Retreat

Travel

Air

There are 3 airports convenient to the retreat site:

  • San Jose (SJC) – This airport is an hour away from Monte Toyon, and is the preferred airport.
  • San Francisco (SFO) – Airport is 2 hours away from the site. You will face after-work traffic on Thursday night, so please keep this in mind when booking your flight.
  • Monterey (MRY) – This is the closest airport and is just 45 minutes away from Monte Toyon but it has limited flights due to it's small size.

Please ensure your flight arrives into the Bay Area by 6pm on Thursday, August 27th. Your flight out of the Bay Area should be after 4 pm on Sunday.

We will arrange for transportation to and from the airport – please keep our arrival and departure guidelines in mind when booking your flight.

If you would prefer to take Amtrak into San Jose, we can arrange to have you picked up from the Cahill Station. You can review train schedules on the Amtrak website.

Saanjh 2008 Memories

On Self Knowledge
Your hearts know in silence the secrets of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound of your heart's knowledge.
You would know in words that which you have always known in thought.
You would touch with your fingers the naked body of your dreams.
And it is well you should.

-'The Prophet' by Khalil Gibran.
